Our faculty member Prof. Dr. Güldal Süyen and her research group have been awarded the “Best Scientific Research Award in Basic Medical Sciences” at the 11th Dr. Aysun–Ahmet Küçükel Medical Awards.
Our Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Head of the Department of Physiology, Prof. Dr. Güldal Süyen, together with Research Assistant Büşra Öcalan, Dr. Ayşen Çakır, and Prof. Dr. Nevzat Kahveci from the Department of Physiology at Bursa Uludağ University Faculty of Medicine, and Biologist Cansu Koç from the Department of Medical Pharmacology, conducted a study titled “Uridine Treatment Prevents REM Sleep Deprivation-Induced Learning and Memory Impairment.” This research, published in Neuroscience Research (2019), was recognized by Güven Health Group with the Best Scientific Research Award in Basic Medical Sciences at the 11th Dr. Aysun–Ahmet Küçükel Medical Awards.
