LIBRARY COLLECTIONS and FACILITIES
Located in a central location on the Kerem Aydınlar Campus, the library has a collection that supports the university's academic programmes, with publications primarily focused on Health Sciences and Medicine. Affiliated with the Central Library, the Acıbadem Mehmet Ali Aydınlar University Atakent Hospital Library was opened in 2014, and the Acıbadem Maslak Hospital Library was opened in 2015.
The central and branch libraries have a total area of 1,747.51 square metres and a seating capacity of 502. Offering its readers a modern and comfortable working environment, the central library is open 24/7 during the academic year. In addition to general study rooms, the library has a computer study room and group study rooms that users can reserve before using.
Physical Collection: The Central, Atakent, and Maslak Libraries house 38,545 materials, including books, printed periodicals, theses, CD-ROMs, and DVDs.
Electronic Collection: The library subscribes to 49 databases, providing access to 61,107 interdisciplinary e-journals, 200,000 e-books, 2,592,727 full-text theses, evidence-based medicine databases, bibliometric tools and indexes, and newspapers.
RESEARCH SERVICES
Scholarly Communication
Scholarly communication services offered by the library, information and support is provided on bibliometric analysis, tools for journal selection, open access, APC supports, predatory journals and researcher profiles.
Bibliometric Analysis Support
The University Library provides bibliometric analysis services for university administration and faculties, academics, researchers and research groups. Analysis reports can be prepared with the citation, benchmarking databases and data sets subscribed by the library. Using Web of Science, Scopus, InCites Benchmarking & Analytics, Journal Citation Reports databases, citation, number of publications, H-Index report, impact factor, quartile information and many other comparative reports are prepared by the library team.

Academic Researcher Profiles
Web of Science Researcher Profiles (Publons, Researcher ID)
Web of Science Researcher Profiles help increase researcher's visibility in the worldwide research community. Users can create and manage their academic researcher identity with easy tools on a single platform.
ORCID
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a free, unique, permanent identifier for researchers to use when engaging in research, scholarship and innovation activities.
Scopus Author ID
If you have an article indexed in Scopus, a Scopus Author ID is automatically generated, registration for a Scopus Author ID is not required. Having a Scopus Author ID allows users to easily see the list of their publications and view citation metrics such as h-index, citation counts, publications and co-authors. Scopus Author ID can be linked to ORCID so that publications can be transferred to your ORCID.
Read & Publish Agreements (APC Supports)
Open access (OA) publications to be published by Acıbadem University authors are supported by the ‘Read and Publish’ (R&P) agreements signed by Acıbadem University Library and TÜBİTAK and by AFDK. Annual subscription fees for access to articles and APC costs for publishing articles are brought together under a single agreement. These agreements enable ACU authors to publish their articles as open access in listed journals without paying additional Article Processing Charges (APC).

ACU Institutional Open Access Archive
Scientific publications by ACU researchers can be uploaded to the open access system managed by the library. After the open access policies of the publishers are checked on the Sherpa/Romeo platform, if appropriate, added to the archive as full text.

Sherpa Romeo is an online resource that aggregates and analyses the open access policies of publishers from around the world and provides summaries of publisher copyright and open access archiving policies by journal.
Funders' Open Access Requests
Sherpa Juliet
Sherpa Juliet is a single point and searchable database of up-to-date information on funders' policies and requirements for open access, publication and data archiving.
Journal Checker Tool
cOAlition S supports authors in finding eligible journals in which to publish their articles. The tool provides guidance on whether there is an appropriate publication route by entering funder information, the organisation and the title of the journal.

A coalition of scientific publishers and associations have collaborated to create this short checklist that authors can refer to when evaluating potential journals for their research. By asking a few short questions and evaluating the journal against the checklist, authors can be confident that the journal they are considering, whether subscription-based or open access, will be a journal of quality, rigour and respect.
English Article Editing Service
ACU academics can get free editing service from ENAGO (which the University has an agreement) for the articles they will submit in WoS SCIE and SSCI Q1 and Q2 journals.
In order to get this support, ACU academic staff must be the first author or ‘corresponding author’ of the article.
Applications should be sent to editing@acibadem.edu.tr Your publication will be submitted to ENAGO by the library staff and the completed version will be sent to you by e-mail.
The delivery time is determined by checking 1000 words per day after submission to Enago. For example, 5000 words are delivered in 5 working days.

Statistical Consulting Services
Under the corporate discount agreement we have made with EMPİAR Statistical Consulting Firm, a 20% discount will be applied to statistical consulting services provided to our university faculty members, graduate students, and medical residency students.
Statistical support requests must be sent to the email address emirebor@gmail.com . After the application is evaluated, the firm will provide the researcher with information about the appropriate support and budget.
In order to receive the discount, it is mandatory to use an email address with the acibadem.edu.tr extension when communicating with EMPİAR.
In order to receive this support, the applicant must be the first author or “corresponding author” of the article. The service fee is paid by the faculty member. For articles accepted for publication in Q1 and Q2 category journals indexed in WoS SCIE and SSCI, the faculty member may apply to AFDK with the application form, article acceptance letter, and a document showing the statistical consulting support fee.
LIBRARY USER SERVICES
Article / Document Delivery and Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Through the interlibrary loan (ILL) service, resources not available in our library collections are provided to our users from other university libraries in Turkey and other countries, as well as from ULAKBİM. This service is available only to academics, master's and doctoral students.
Users can request books or articles not available in the collection by sending an email to kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr To ensure that requests are fulfilled in a timely and accurate manner, complete bibliographic information must be provided.
Publication Purchases and Subscriptions
Faculty members may submit requests and suggestions for the purchase of books, journals, databases, and other materials. Requests and suggestions should be sent to kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr
Borrowing Services
Library materials are checked out at the circulation desk located at the entrance of the Library. Users must present their Campus Card in order to check out library material. Books cannot be borrowed on behalf of someone else.

User Training
The Library team provides library training to users upon request or need. The trainings include the use of the library catalogue, access to library databases and searching for academic publications, etc. In addition, author workshops for young academics and graduate students and user trainings specific to certain databases can be organised.
In 2022, the Library launched a seminar/webinar series titled ACU Library Skills. The ACU Library Skills webinar series enables library users to improve their information literacy skills and make the best use of the resources of our university library. Sessions cover topics such as library services and facilities, using the online catalogue, accessing subscribed databases, mobile access, accessing academic publications, referencing, bibliometrics, assessment and evaluation.

Off-Campus Access
Acıbadem University members can access electronic resources subscribed to by the library from outside the campus.
You can access databases directly on campus. Users can access databases directly by using computers connected to the wired network on campus or by connecting to the Acıbadem Wi-Fi network from their personal devices.

Reference Management Tools
EndNote
EndNote is a reference management system and bibliography tools for the scientific studies of academicians, researchers and students of leading universities and research institutions all over the world. Users can contact us via kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr for EndNote installation on their computer.
Mendeley Institutional Edition
Mendeley Institutional Edition is a reference manager tool and academic social network that can help researchers organize their researches, collaborate with others online, and discover the latest research for academic institutions. Mendeley provides synchronized and integrated references online and offline Access via different devices, and also is a powerful reference management tool.

Plagiarism Checker Tools
iThenticate
iThenticate is a software used to detect plagiarism on academic publications. The software is accessible to faculty only. Please send e-mail to kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr to register.
Turnitin
Turnitin is a web-based plagiarism detection software used to detect plagiarism and improper citations in student assignments, master's and doctoral theses. Theses uploaded to the system are automatically compared with the sources in a very large data pool and a similarity report is generated by detecting citations, similarities, and improper use of sources. Only academics can use the programme. Users can contact us at kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr to use the Turnitin programme and create a Turnitin account.
Academic Plagiarism (www.intihal.net)
It is a local programme produced in Turkey for similarity detection in academic studies. It is an internet-based similarity detection and reporting software specialised for detecting many types of plagiarism. Users can contact us via kutuphane@acibadem.edu.tr to use the software and create an account.
